What is Profit Cloud
Arbitrage types
The arbitrage type is determined by the markets of the bundle's two legs: leg A is in the MAX role, leg B in the MIN role (see "Trading → Bundle").
| Type | Leg exchanges | Polarities | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Perp — perp | different | both | supported |
| Perp — spot | different or the same | convergence | supported |
| Spot — spot | different | — | not supported: requires moving funds between exchanges |
Execution is the same for all types (see "Trading → Execution"). The "Arbitrage type" switch in the screener selects the mode of searching for opportunities; the terminal executes an opportunity it has found with a bundle of a supported type (see "Screener → Modes").
Perp — perp
Both legs are perpetual contracts on different exchanges. The polarities are "Convergence" (short MAX, long MIN) and "Divergence" (long MAX, short MIN). If a leg's exchange works in one-way position mode, the polarities take turns: the second one opens after the position of the first one is closed (see "What is Profit Cloud → Exchanges → Position mode"). Funding accrues on both legs (see "Trading → Journal → Funding").
Perp — spot
The perpetual contract is leg A, spot is leg B. The direction is fixed: short the perpetual contract, long spot — convergence only; the legs do not swap places. The spot leg has no leverage and no margin; exiting it means selling what was bought. Funding is only on the perpetual leg. Both legs can be on one exchange — then on one connection.
