App

Installation

The Arbitrageur terminal is a Windows app. The installer is provided by the Profit Cloud Telegram bot: "💹Trade" → "Windows" → "Download for Windows"; the link always leads to the latest version.

The installer:

  • installs the app for the current Windows user, without administrator rights;
  • into the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Profit Cloud\Arbitrageur folder; another one cannot be chosen;
  • creates the "Profit Cloud Arbitrageur" shortcut in the "Start" menu, in the "Profit Cloud" group; a desktop shortcut is optional;
  • launches the app when it finishes.

The app's language at first launch is English; it is changed in "SETTINGS → Language".

First launch: sign-in through the Telegram bot, the second factor, creating a passcode (see "Security → Sign-in", "Security → Passcode"). The app runs as a single instance per Windows user: launching it again opens the one already running.

System requirements

  • 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11.
  • Accurate time on the computer: the encrypted exchange key and the bundle signature are valid for 10 minutes.
  • Registration in the Profit Cloud Telegram bot and a linked email.
  • TPM 2.0 is not required; if there is one, the device key is stored in it (see "Security → Devices").

Windows warning

The installer is not signed with a publisher certificate: Windows SmartScreen and the browser may warn about a file from an unknown publisher. To continue the installation — "More info" → "Run anyway".

Data folder — %LOCALAPPDATA%\pc-hft: settings, sign-in sessions in encrypted form, service files and the app log logs\app.log. Each Windows user has their own, and it survives updating, uninstalling and reinstalling.

Uninstalling — "Profit Cloud | Arbitrageur" in the Windows list of installed apps → "Uninstall". The program folder is deleted; the data folder stays, and after reinstalling, the app opens with the previous accounts, behind the passcode. To remove both the sessions and the device key from the computer: before uninstalling — "Sign out" on the passcode screen (signing out of all accounts on the computer), after it — delete the data folder. The device key cannot be restored after that (see "Security → Devices").
